This open faced sandwich made a very yummy light lunch. The combination of flavors were perfect. I used a hearty, multi seeded European artisan bread which stood up well to my very juicy home grown tomatoes. Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe. **Made for 2015 Culinary Quest (Quebec Canada) for Munching Minions

Good quality ingredients made this humble sandwich out of this world good! I made using whole grain multi seed bread, home grown tomatoes and a good smoked gruyere. Thanks for the post.

Made for Culinary Quest 2015 and yesterdays lunch. What a lovely and yummy sandwich. I made one just one for myself as DH passed on trying it. I always need a small pinch of salt on my tomatoes. Great way to use some of my remaining Gruyere cheese too. Thanks Nancy, :D
