These are christmas cookies at my house! My mom has been making these for years. The cornstarch gives it a very tender texture.

  1. Cream butter, powdered sugar and vanilla.
  2. Sift flour and cornstarch.
  3. Add to creamed ingredients.
  4. Roll into small balls and flatten with a wetted glass to prevent the dough from sticking.
  5. Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, cream sugar, butter and vanilla for frosting.
  7. Add milk until thin enough to spread.
  8. Divide frosting into 2 bowls and color 1 bowl with red frosting and 1 bowl with green frosting.

Made these cookies just before Christmas and was hoping for a new cookie to love. They were very unflavorful. My kids will eat them and they're not too bad frozen but I was honestly disappointed.
