- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
- 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 1⁄4 cups flour, sifted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup nuts, chopped

- Cream butter, sugar, salt, vanilla, and water together. Beat in Flour a little at a time, until fully incorporated.
- Stir in nuts and chill.
- Form dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until pale golden. While still hot roll in sifted powdered sugar.
