Meatloaf Deluxe

"Ok, I found this, an old newspaper clipping, in an old recipe box, given to me by a friend. I have not tried it yet, but it does sound interesting especially with the horseradish."

  1. This was delicious...loved the horseradish in the dish (not strong at all). I cut the recipe in half and added a little more onion and some fresh minced garlic. Otherwise I followed the instructions. Definately a keeper. Thank you for posting. Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup ~ Jan-June 2013.

  2. This was a super tasty meatloaf! I had to use real mustard instead of dry but that was my only sub. I loveeeeee horseradish & have been looking for recipes using it. This didnt disappoint & even my 10 yr old scarfed it down. Thanks for posting! / original review 7/10/12 - edited to add stars

  3. Made this to take to a neighbor couple & then decided to make it a TWO-FER, giving them half of this meatloaf & half of a chicken dinner I'd fixed for here at home ~ That way everyone got two meals & I was able to do my own personal taste testing! My other half loves horseradish, & sometimes I can tolerate it! Used in this recipe it worked just fine & we enjoyed this new twist on an old favorite! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed in I Recommend recipe tag]

  4. This was different that what we are used to, but it was good. I have never had horseradish before but added it and it gave the meatloaf a goot flavor. The only change I made was to use a red bell pepper instead of green. Made for I Recommend Tag.

  5. Neither of us care for green pepper, so I used celery instead. I love horseradish & it gave the meatloaf a very good taste!!! IMHO, you can never have too many meatloaf recipes & this is a keeper!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
