Ok, I found this, an old newspaper clipping, in an old recipe box, given to me by a friend. I have not tried it yet, but it does sound interesting especially with the horseradish.

This was delicious...loved the horseradish in the dish (not strong at all). I cut the recipe in half and added a little more onion and some fresh minced garlic. Otherwise I followed the instructions. Definately a keeper. Thank you for posting. Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup ~ Jan-June 2013.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. In large bowl, combine beef, onion, bread crumbs, pepper, horseradish, salt, milk, catsup and mustard.
  2. Stir in eggs and mix well.
  3. Place into a loaf pan.
  4. Top with catsup, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake at 400°F for about 45 minutes.
  6. Cool slightly before cutting.
