This was great! I'd been using my mom's meatloaf recipe ever since finishing college but this was way better (sorry mom!). Having said that, I did make some small changes. I added about 1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach (thawed) to the meat mixture and also a Tbl of Worcestershire sauce. And I also sautéed the onions in butter with two cloves of garlic before adding to the meat mixture. Last but not least, for the "glaze" I used 1/2 cup ketchup, 1 Tbl brown sugar, 1 Tbl Worcestershire sauce, 2 Tbl horseradish, 2 Tbl spicy brown mustard and 2 Tbl tomato purée and smeared it all over the top and sides of the meatloaf before cooking - and the result was very delicious, if I do say so myself! Baking time was exactly as stated - perfectly cooked and very moist - thanks Stephanie!

Yummmmy!! This meatloaf was perfect. Only thing I did different was use Ritz crackers. The sauce was perfect as well as the consistency of the meatloaf. Will def make again :)
Better than moms! my kids freak on the onions so I pulverized them in a food processor.
This is without a dought the best meatloaf I've ever had...I didn't have any worchestershire sauce so I used a sweet and sour orange marinade instead...everyone loved it, and no left overs...I passed this recipe onto my daughter in Iowa, she used ground turkey, and even her picky kids loved it...and there again, no left overs...Thank you so very much for sharing....
Thank you for posting such an easy meatloaf recipe. I had most of the ingredients, except for the crackers, which I substituted with Panko (and instead of ground beef I used ground turkey) and I added a teaspoon of Parmesan (I'm a cheese lover, what can I say?) The topping/sauce was just the perfect amount of sweetness and overall the meatloaf was quite satisfying!
Wife & I thought this was an excellant meat loaf...one of the best we've ever had! I was out saltines, so I used Ritz crackers instead. The topping is very flavorful...wife told me that I WILL be making this again...LOL!!! THANKS for sharing!!!
