Versatile, delicious meatballs. Edited to suit my family's tastes.
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1⁄2 cup quick oats
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper
- onion powder, to taste
I often add a pinch or so of the following for more of an Italian style meatball
- oregano, Basil, Parsley, garlic powder
- Pre-heat oven to 350.
- In a medium or large bowl knead together all ingredients. Form into decent size balls and place on a greased cookie sheet or pizza pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until browned on outside. (Baking time may vary for your oven!).
Amazing, easy, and very cheap recipe! I used water instead of milk and they still came out amazing!!!! If you decide to half the recipe than beat the egg before u add it because thats the only way you can add half an egg
Yum! These were so easy to make and tasted great. I added oregano, basil, and garlic. Thanks for sharing. Made for PAC Fall 2011.
Just beware that this recipe is made with ground beef, with oatmeal added. It's not "made of oatmeal" as the title claims.
