From King's Hawaiian. I haven't tried this yet, but it sounds lovely...a sweet and savory french toast/toad in the hole amalgam...

What a wonderful sweet/savory breakfast or brunch dish! Served with fresh pineapple guavas from a neighbor's garden and my recipe #353067, and everyone enjoyed! Loved everything about this recipe--the King's Hawaiian makes the fluffiest most delicious French Toast! Can't wait to make again--sorry no photo this time.   1. In a bowl, whisk 1 egg. Then gradually add milk, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
  2. Cut a 2-inch hole in the center of the bread.
  3. Under medium heat, place oil in Teflon frying pan.
  4. Dip both sides of the bread into egg and milk mixture.
  5. Place the bread into the frying pan.
  6. Crack the other egg into the hole in the bread.
  7. Cook each side for one minute. Remove from heat.
  8. Lightly sauté ham and place in the center of the French toast.
  9. Pour desired amount of maple syrup over French Toast.
  10. Sprinkle powdered sugar.
