"Maui or Sweet Vidalia onions create a creamy sweet vinaigrette."
Top Review by Debbwl
What a nice dressing! We get gigantic sweet Maui onions here and we like to use them in everything including salads so was very happy to find this Maui onion dressing. The only change I made to the recipe was to cut it in half but think next time I will cut the sugar just a little as this was a sweet for our taste. Thank for the post.
- 1⁄2 cup maui onions or 1⁄2 cup other sweet onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove
- 1⁄4 cup papaya seeds (optional)
- 2⁄3 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1⁄3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 cup vegetable oil

Add the sugar, mustard, lemon juice, vinegar and mayonnaise; puree until blended inches Set to low speed and pour in the vegetable oil in a thin stream. Chill and serve with fresh salad greens.
