Very good! I hand mash my potatoes so they don't get gummy, but that's the only change I'd make to these delicious mashed potatoes!

fantastic!! this was my first successful attempt at really creamy mashed potatoes! i used 4 large russets, needed more milk/heavy cream, skipped the sour cream, and probably tripled the butter!! you're so right about the salt and pepper factor. i ended up adding quite a bit when all was said and done. i also think the hand mixer is also key here. i'll never make creamy mashed potatoes any other way! thanks a ton for posting!!
