This is how my mother taught me to make mashed potatoes.
Simple and tasty. Very good basic mashed potatoes.
Delicious! I used 4 jumbo russets and ended up adding a little more milk and sour cream to get the right consistency. I also used real butter instead of margarine and added garlic and onion powder. Thanks!
Absolutely divine! Creamy and moist, melt in your mouth goodness! I did add garlic to the boiling water as some have suggested. My family and I loved it! Thank you so much, it was perfect.

These really do make great, rich mashed potatoes. I was informed that these are better than my grandmother's, which is certainly saying something!
This worked perfectly. I actually had to use Almond milk, as we don't have cow milk in the house, but it didn't take away from the potatoes at all. I also used fat free sour cream and light margarine.
