This is very easy and tastes good too...serve with English peas, wilted salad and corn bread...
- Boil potatoes and fix like mashed potatoes using the butter and milk -- at the last mash the can of corned beef into the potatoes -- serve hot -- .
Our German exchange student served us his version for dinner. His recipe from Hamburg Germany included juice from canned red beets which made the potato servings pink; served with dill pickles and red beets on the side. We all enjoyed it.
My family has called this Christmas hash and served it for Christmas brunch for over 50 years. A family tradition. I have served it for dinner as it is a favorite with children. We also serve it with corn at dinner time.
Great Recipe for bad weather here in Florida...no electric need here. I had all on hand when the lights went out and feed a house full. Adults and Children both ate every bite..Thank You so very much in a time of need..Hugs
