I made this dish this evening as a side for my own Southern Fried Chicken recipe. I kicked it up with a teaspoon of cayenne and a bit of jalapeno and some sea salt to counter the sour cream. Made this last night to go with lamb rack. A big hit! I didn't have time to leave overnight, but that didn't matter much. I didn't use the butter, though, but some margarine in the potatoes.
