      I felt this had too many competing strong tastes at once. Next time I would leave out the nutmeg or the horseradish, or maybe both, I just didn't care for those two tastes together.

      I make half of this recipe for hubby and me. I didn't have any chives but other than that, followed exactly. It's a different taste for turnips... one that actually grows on you. I like the horseradish in it. Made for Zaar Alphabet Tag Game 2011.

      Loved this Nana Lee! I made two changes: I added carrots for my husband, who loves the combination and I had to sub green onion tops for the chives. :)

      This does make a very good side to steak or roast. It doesn't stand well on it's own, and I don't think I'll be craving it anytime soon. The nutmeg, garlic and horseradish make a unique flavor combination.

      I was looking for something "different" to do other than just boil and mash the turnips as I always do, and These were the perfect thing!My daughter and myself have been trying to eat healthier and you know how that usually means blah!...well this was a great dish! thanks so much!
