My mom always made this for us when we were growing up and we have always called this Marzetta. I make this for my family now, and if in a hurry, I do not bake it, and it is just as good.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can water
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can water
  • 8 ounces noodles
  • 12 lb Velveeta cheese (cut up)


  1. Bring soups and water to a boil.
  2. Add noodles and cook until tender.
  3. Brown and crumble hamburger.
  4. Add hamburger to noodles and soup.
  5. Add cheese and let melt.
  6. Bake in greased casserole for 30 min at 350.

this was wonderful! I did add a little worchestire sauce (my mom always added this to her johny marzetti)! My dh and my 4 year old dd both loved it and we has it with the jiffy pizza breadsticks - yummy!
