This was a main stay in the Hill household. It put smiles of the kids face when they came in the door and smelled it cooking.

This was really good. Didn't take too long to prep or cook and had a nice subtle sour cream flavor. Only change I made was to double the water and sour cream so I had enough gravy for the mashed potatoes we had with it. Made for Everyday is a Holiday Nov 2009.

My family really enjoyed the taste of this Swiss Steak recipe. Even after turning the burner to a low simmer, most of the sauce had cooked away. But I will make this again, because it really is a tasty dish. But the next time I make it, I'll add the sour cream and water a little later in the cooking process so it doesn't cook away again. Thanks, Hill Family!
