A friend gave me this recipe and everyone raves about it. She omits the jam and water completely.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Combine oats, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt. Add oil, egg, vanilla, and juice.
  3. Press 2/3 of mixture into greased 8 x 12 pan. Mix jam with water and spread evenly over mixture. Crumble remaining oats mixture over top.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Before cutting cool completely.
