Real Maryland fried chicken.
- 8 chicken thighs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons pepper
- oil, to deep fry
- Wash the chicken parts and pat dry.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Dip chicken into milk and dredge in flour mixture. Repeat.
- Deep fry at 360°F for 20 minutes.
Excellent fried chicken. I don't usually have good luck with fried chicken but this is the best I've ever made, and it's being made for the third time today ! Thanks Oat57!
Boy is this good chicken! I did a whole fryer (cut up) and the pieces flew off the plate (I guess the chicken wasn't quite done--har har). Definately a keeper, thanks for posting.
