Marshmallow Truffles

"From Kraft. I can't wait to make them for the kids as a special treat! A perfect Valentine surprise. Cook time is cooling time. (I loved the idea the first reviewer had and wanted to add it to the recipe itself, "Substituting crisped cereal for the pecans would make it special for the little ones who are allergic to nuts" Thanks ohgal for such a great suggestion!)"

  1. Very cute! I made half with nuts and half with coconut flakes. It took a little while to get the hang of the dipping (my first ones were very ugly!!) I think I might put sticks in them next time for easy dipping and eating. These would be perfect to make with kids!

  2. *Oh my goodness!! these are good, and so easy! My 3.5 year old son helped me dip these, and we had a great time working together. I didn't dip the marshmallows all the way, just half way, since it was easier for my DS to handle. We sprinkled shredded coconut on some of them, and slivered almonds on others (we left some plain too). These are addictive, easy, and pretty. Thanks, Marg!!

  5. I made these goodies for my little girl's birthday party last week and it was a HIT. As a variation, other than rice crispies and nuts, I also used sprinkles, dried coconut, and crushed corn flakes.
