This is the 2nd version i've tried for Marlborough pie and it came out excellent. last year I tried the recipe that called for grated apple and more lemon peel in place of the applesauce. It was a bit too tart and just not a great consistency. However this recipe was smooth and light and the flavor was delicious plus it holds its place in historical New England thanksgiving tradition. Thanks!
