I tried this out, thanks to the other comments. It was fantastic. Son in law thinks I'm great..daughter is still too chicken to try. Too bad for her, more for her hubby and I. Thanks!

I am really only rating the marinade here since I used venison tenderloins and cooked them differently. Also I didn't eat this since I don't eat red meat, so I am just relaying what DH had to say. :) The first tenderloin went into a stir fry, and I was told I need to make that on a regular basis! The second one was grilled and eaten with sauteed onions and mushrooms, a twice-baked potato, and roasted vegetables. I was told the meat was extremely tender and that the marinade flavor was light and not overpowering. In both cases there was no gamey taste at all (and this was an old tough buck that DH got this past fall). The meat was marinaded overnight. Thank you for sharing this - we'll do this again!

I am not a fan of wild game but, this recipe was wonderful. there was no game taste in it. I'm sure I'll make it again.
