A heart healthy marinara sauce

  1. Add olive oil to skillet and heat over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onions and saute until they are clear in color.
  3. Add diced tomatoes and crushed tomatoes.
  4. Add Basil, Oregano, Salt, sugar and Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes.
  5. Bring to a boil stirring constantly and then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes.
  6. Add minced garlic and stir and continue to simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Boil Angel Hair Pasta until aldente plate and serve.
