My cousin made this refreshing fruit salad for Easter. The cook time is actually the chill time.
- 4 cups fresh pineapple, cut into chunks
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, cut into quarters
- 3 cups fresh mango, cut into chunks
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 3⁄4 cup margarita mix
- 1⁄3 cup honey
- 1⁄4 cup fresh lime juice
- Place fruit in large bow.
- Mix margarita mix, honey and lime juice. Pour over fruit.
- Chill at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Made the recipe as written and it turned out very good. I have problems cutting a mango, most of the time it turns to mush before I get it cut. So this time I peeled the mango, then sliced it both directions on the seed (one side at a time) and then cut it off the seed. Wow, did that every work great for me. It is not the safest way to cut one, so if you try it this way be very, VERY careful. Made for *Please Review My Recipe 2010*
Very enjoyable, I did add 2 cups blueberries to this too. Served with some pork stips as a main meal . The margarita mix was great here too, and especially liked the mangos in here too, A must keeper for me. Made for PRMR tag.
this was excellent! i made this as a side dish for our mexican pork taco dinner last night! made as written but had to change up some of the fruit for what i had on hand. i used strawberries, mango, pineapple, raspberries, blackberries and bananas. yum!! we all loved the addition of the marg mix. will make again for sure! made for photo tag, will post photos when i get a chance this evening. thanks for another winner!!
