Moist and Yummy! The chocolate and cream cheese had just the right balance. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't get that hard crusty edge on my brownies, yet they were done in the center. My zig zag marble swirl left much to be desired. Next time I think I might just drop the cream cheese mixture in dollops over the chocolate mixture to see if my zig zag doesn't turn out better (so I'm a bit handicapped..). Thanks for sharing! :)
These get rave reviews every time I make them! Very moist, flavorful and delicious!
This recipe is called "Baker's German Sweet Cream Cheese Brownies." That company put this recipe out way, waaay back on the back of the chocolate box. I have that original recipe from my mom. We grew up on them beginning in the 1960's.. I use lowfat cream cheese, BUT, you cannot use Fat Free: trust me. lol
Excellent, rich, indulgent and your company will eat them all up!!
Loved these brownies .Had no trouble with the cream cheese I just pit dollops on top then the chocolate and spread the chocolate out with a knife and when done baking they had a chocolate layer, cream cheese layer and a chocolate layer.
i love marble cheesecake theese are good great site
THese are great! I agree that the edges are just right. I put the cream cheese on top as was suggested and swirled it. I would like to re name this cheesecake brownies cause that is what the flavor is like, cheesecake on top brownies.I will for sure make this again, it is one of those "sinfull" treats that you can not eat just one of!
