  1. It's funny how I should come across this recipe now. DH's newest favorite shake from Culvert's is this exact recipe. I think they use frozen custard as their icecream base, but non-the less this is much cheaper and oh so good. I used Breyer's 1/2 fat All Natural Vanilla. I did cut the recipe down a bit, but still used 1/4 cup of the cherry juice and about 1/2 jar of cherries. What a treat Cathy and one that will be repeated oft. Made for ZaarStars~!

  2. I was worried about how this shake would actually taste, given that we don't care for maraschino cherries. However, I was making a special Valentine's Day dinner for my family and wanted something "pink." So, I tried it and, to my amazement, the taste was fabulous! My boys aren't terribly fond of anything cherry, but they really enjoyed this shake. I will definitely make it again!

  3. What a great and yummy drink for the last night of a warm Texas summer! Easy to make, even easier to drink! We all loved it! Thanks for posting and congrats on winning the football pool!

  4. Love the cherry flavor! I scaled this down for 1 drink. Delicious! Thanks!

  5. This was soooooo good. I actually used ice cream that had cherries in it too because I LOVE cherries. It didn't make it to 4 servings though because DH was fixing the glasses. It only made it into 2 when he got ahold of it! Thanks for a great recipe...I'll be using this one again and again.

I was one of the original members of Recipezaar that was truly a community of individuals that enjoyed each other in forums and chat rooms. I've been a member of this site since 2003. Made some tremendous friends that I still think of often. I'll continue coming here because my recipes are here and so many more that I tried over the years as a member. It's just a tad boring now and just another recipe site like all the rest. Sad.
