This is hardly a recipe, but I am putting it here because it is so simple and delicious.
- Heat maple syrup in microwave for 15 seconds, or on top of stove until warm.
- Toast walnuts in toaster oven or in dry skillet on top of stove, 2-3 minutes.
- Put vanilla ice cream in dish.
- Top with maple syrup and walnuts.
wow! I used no sugar added ice cream and maple syrup and what a treat. I'm sooo glad I tagged this in 1-2-3 Game. It's simply perfect of a summer night and I would recommend this to anyone.
If you are looking for a quick treat, look no further! This is delicious and so simple. If you are toasting your walnuts on the cooktop, make sure you use a low heat so you do not burn the nuts. They do cook quickly. Thank you for posting, KelBel!
This was so simple to make and surprisingly delicious! Unfortunately, due to dietary restrictions, I had to use sugar free syrup and ice cream, but I did enjoy it, nonetheless. I will just have to imagine how good it would be with the real stuff! Thanks for posting this keeper.
