Maple Syrup Muffins

A springtime treat after the sap run. You may even want to pour a bit of warmed syrup over these muffins and eat with a spoon.

Made these this evening for some people who dropped by unexpectedly:) They liked it, I poured some maple syrup over the muffins and served these. I did use 1/2 cup more of butter i.e. in addition to the 1/4 cup as in this recipe. These muffins had a crispy exterior but were wonderful inside, soft and more like cake. Thanks for sharing this one!

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Preheat oven to 400F degrees.
  2. Beat eggs until light.
  3. Mix in wet ingredients.
  4. Sift and add dry ingredients to wet.
  5. Pour into greased muffin tins.
  6. Bake 20 minutes.
