  • Cream shortening with sugar.
  • Add egg.
  • Dissolve baking soda in a little hot water with the vanilla, salt and maple syrup
  • Sift together flour and baking powder.
  • Add to creamed mixture
  • Drop by teaspoonful onto greased pan.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or lightly browned.

  1. Dee, I have loved your Kossman recipes before and these are no exception. I used Splenda for the sugar and No Sugar Added syrup. They are a scrumptious cookie that should please everyone. Made for Sweet December 2013
     
  2. Dee, my cookie queen :) Absolutely loved these! I used erythritol in place of the sugar, and gluten free flour, and they turned out so wonderful! The maple syrup gives a fantastic flavour. I know I'll make them again! Thanks for sharing :)
