Maple Syrup Banana Bread

"The maple syrup makes this a truly French Canadian recipe. This bread is so tasty and moist! Perfect to have with your coffee, or give as a homemade present. If it's too hard to find, you can replace the maple syrup for corn syrup."

  1. love this recipe. saw the one star review harping on saltiness after I'd cut the salt to a few twirls of pink salt and used a low salt baking powder. leavens fine. I use butternut squash seed oil and add a bit of powdered vanilla bean. slivered almonds amp the yum factor. this will stay in my repertoire for sure. anything sweetened with maple syrup is a winner for me.

  2. This turned out incredibly salty and you really can't taste the maple flavor. Such a shame to waste all the ingredients on this recipe.

  3. Fabulously tasty, wonderfully easy very kid friendly, since I was looking for a recipe that only used maple syrup I subbed out the sugar and used 3/4 c maple syrup...everyone loved it. It made exactly a dozen muffins:)

  4. One of the easiest and most delicious banana breads I've ever made. Love to have it around for peanut butter sandwiches (you can add bacon if you want to channel Elvis). A most excellent bread. I usually use walnuts, but may try almonds one of these days.

  5. This recipe definitely deserves more reviews! Wonderful banana bread! I used chopped, toasted pecans to complement the maple syrup and it was perfect. Delicious any time of day and kid-friendly. Thank you Tahitia.
