A glaze that tastes wonderful on salmon.
- 2 fresh garlic cloves, minced
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup 100% real maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice (not from concentrate)
- In a small pot sauté the garlic and shallots in oil until soft.
- Add syrup and orange juice and bring to a boil.
- Simmer until reduced by half.
