From "The Complete Book of Bread Machine Baking." (1994)
- 2⁄3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1⁄3 cup maple syrup
- 2⁄3 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2⁄3 cup unbleached flour
- 2 tablespoons gluten
- 1 tablespoon whey powder (I don't use)
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- Place all ingredients in machine as directed by the manufacturer.
- Select Basic Wheat Cycle, Light Setting (or equivalent).
This bread makes up wonderful just out of the bread machine, in sandwiches or just toasted. My family enjoyed it!!!
