Maple Broiled Scallops or Chicken Breast Bites

So this was the hit appetizer the Christmas Party I took them too! They didn't last and I probably cut up six thick chicken breasts. Awesome flavor and super simple to make. I didn't have the $ for Scallops so I just used chicken breasts. I quadrupled the horseradish and still really couldn't taste it though. Maybe I'll devote a whole bottle to the glaze, still didn't matter though. Taste was awesome! I broiled the chicken on a cooling rack over a pan to keep the chicken from cooking in the bacon fat. Just my personal taste. Also, I think Peppercorn bacon would have added a little more flavor over just normal bacon, but another personal taste. I always substitute pepper back for regular bacon.   1. Mix syrup and horseradish.
  2. Wrap each scallop or chicken piece with 1/3 strip bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on broiler pan, brush with syrup, and broil 3 minutes.
  3. Turn, brush, and broil 2-3 minutes more, until bacon is crisp.
  4. Serve hot.
