This recipe was featured in Parade's SimplyDelicious November 2005. It has been tried and true season after season as well as a little here and a little there in between. Enjoy! We do!
- 1 cup Bourbon (Wild Turkey or Jim Beam)
- 2⁄3 cup pure maple syrup
- 2⁄3 cup ketchup
- 1⁄3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar, packed
- Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate, covered, overnight. Brush the glaze over the turkey during the last 15 minutes of roasting @ 5 minute intervals.
My mother made this recipe for the first time last thanksgiving and it is safe to say this will be the recipe we use for all future thanksgivings....holy cow this turkey was better than good, It was AMAZING. Hands down best turkey we have ever had.
FAB! I have been looking for a bourbon maple syrup glaze for days! I grill my turkey(s) and this looks like the perfect glaze for T-Day. Thanks
