So I too only barrowed the frosting recipe. I'm not sure what I did wrong but it was lumpy after I put the powdered sugar in. I stirred and stirred and no luck. It did taste WONDERFUL, just not as pretty as I would have liked.

I used this frosting to top donuts. My husband just loved them, and he is a maple donut lover. Thanks for the great recipe!

My family really enjoyed this treat. It is nice to have a change from chocolate cake or brownies, but it really delivers on the sweet factor. With a tall glass of milk or a cup of coffee it pleases from the 2 year old to our 86 year old grandma!

Thank you so much for this frosting recipe! I've searched forever to replicate that maple bar donut taste! Yummm! For those of you who like things less sweet, try it (as I did) on yeast buns or cinnamon rolls.

I am not a huge fan of sweets, otherwise this was good

This cake was BETTER than a maple donut! The cake recipe was so moist and the maple frosting was the best! I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe, will be making this again soon. Thank you!
