These cookies are so easy even a man can cook them ... wink wink.
- 1 (18 ounce) box chocolate cake mix
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (slightly softened, I use reduced fat)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups chocolate chips (I have used white, swirl, milk, semi-sweet and carmel-all good)
- Combine cream cheese, egg and vanilla together, beat until creamy. Add cake mix and chips until mixed well - will be a stiff batter. Drop onto lightly sprayed cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for 8 minute.
These weren't bad but I felt they lacked something. Maybe some butter would be good in them. Thanks for sharing. (Reviewed for 123 hit tag)
A very tasty recipe! I had some cake mix and cream cheese in the house that I needed to use up, and I only had one egg left so this was perfect! I only used 1 cup of chocolate chips and I added a bit (1/4 cup) of vegetable oil because the mix seemed very dry. My husband loves them! The only problem I had was that I made the cookies too big since you didn't put a measure of how much batter to use per cookie. I recommend 1 tbsp.
