My teenage daughter, a mango smoothie junkie, found this recipe on the Internet and proclaims it the best she's ever tasted.
- 1 cup fresh mango, cubes
- 1 1⁄2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1⁄4 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Place all ingredients in blender and whip until smooth.
- Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
I had some canned mango to use up, plus some sugar free vanilla ice cream, so this worked well. I used skim milk and fresh squeezed juice. I attempted to use only the honey but found it needed a little more sweetner so I used splenda. It was so thick I needed a spoon to eat it. Thanks for a good one to try!
This is so good! Very sweet and creamy, also quite easy to make.
