The intenseness of passion fruit juice goes well with the other fruits in this smoothie -- my opinion only, of course! If using fresh mango, preparation time does not include time for diced mango to freeze.
- 2 cups mangoes, diced
- 6 large strawberries, frozen
- 1 cup passion fruit juice
- 1⁄2 cup ice, crushed (optional)
- If dicing a fresh, ripe mango, be sure to freeze it before using.
- Put all ingredients in blender & process until smooth & creamy.
What a great smoothie Syd. It is very tart and refreshing. A great wake me up. I used frozen wild strawberries and frozen diced mangos, followed the recipe exactly. I also added 1/2 cup more of the passion fruit juice to help grind the fruit and didn't need the ice. Truly a wonderful taste treat that reminds me of tropical dishes. Thank you so much for sharing.
I had some passion fruit juice to use up so we tried this recipe. It was too thick at first so I added some of the juice from the magos to thin it out, also added additional strawberries so the mango flavor was't too strong. It would be great for an on the go breakfast.
