Instead of using the bisquick, I sauteed chicken in teriyaki sauce. Put the rest of the salad together as per recipe except I added some sliced almonds. Made a homemade asian dressing. The whole family loved it.

Laurie, thank you for a nice lunch! Knew we would like as it has all our favorite ingredients. Breading for chicken is very tasty, certainly easy. I had iceberg lettuce-the kind dh prefers and a pomegranate dressing thus a bit red showing in pic. Added almonds also.

I like the ease of this recipe and it made a great main dish salad. The teriyaki used for a breading method is an inspired touch. I did add some purple cabbage for color and used Kraft's Peanut Sesame dressing. Thank you for sharing the recipe!

Wendy's watch out. This is so much better than their mandarin chicken salad. The chicked was awsome and the flavors were great. I used light asian seasame dressing and I added some almonds on top of the salad. YUMMY!

I liked everything about this salad except the bisquick. I liked the teriyaki, ginger, sesame seed flavors, loved the european greens w/ the oranges and snow pea pods, loved the contrast of the warm chicken with the cold salad. I used a sesame asian dressing by annie's naturals. But I did not like the texture of the bisquick--I don't know if I didn't shake off enough of the extra coating or if it was something else, but the chicken never got properly crispy on the outside and then when the dressing and oranges were added (and I always use scant amounts of dressing), it got a soggy texture that I really didn't like. But the rest of the recipe was great, so I think I will try it again with something else to coat the chicken (bread crumbs or panko or cornflake crumbs or something). With a crispier coating on the chicken, this salad would be awesome!

Excellent. Very unusual. I used ginger dressing left over from japanese take away. Thanks for the great recipe.
