Easy to make desert finished in about an hour. My mama made this for us when we were growing up and served it a la mode. Fresh rhubarb is the best if available, frozen is o.k. but you will have to up the cooking time to 60 minutes.
- Combine first three ingredients and place in 9x9 baking dish.
- Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle evenly over top of filling.
- Bake 40 minutes at 375° - serve warm.
I made this tonight for a pre "Dad's Day" treat with vanilla ice cream. Great!!! I reconstituted freeze dried rhubarb with warm water, drained and used. I did cut back on the sugar. Thanks for posting!
This is delicious, and very easy. Tasted great with ice cream. I think I will cut back on the sugar next time and see if it still works.
