This is the potato salad that my Mama always fixed for picnics or when we were having BBQ. The whole neighborhood loved it and always asked her to bring it for gatherings. I particularly like it warm right after it is made but it is wonderful cold. Hope you enjoy it as much as we always have...

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Peel and slice potatoes in rounds. Boil until done.
  2. Add onion, celery, salt & pepper, caraway seed, mustard, Miracle.
  3. Whip, add pickle relish.
  4. Blend well.
  5. Peel and slice eggs and fold into potato salad.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika.
  7. Chill several hours.
  8. Serve.

I made a greatly reduced amount of this so am not sure how close my measurements were to the actual recipe. That said, I did end up with a southern style creamy potato salad. I used french's bold & spicy mustard and did enjoy the caraway seeds. The sweet relish makes this slightly sweet. Served with BBQ ribs. Made for Fall 08 Pick A Chef.
