A recipe from a friend's mother that is perfect for a fish fry.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 12 cups yellow corn flour
  • 12 cup flour
  • 1 (8 ounce) can creamed corn
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • milk, as needed


  1. Sift dry ingredients.
  2. Add onion, egg, and creamed corn.
  3. Use milk to thin mixture until it is pasty.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Deep fry until browned on all sides.

Wow Rachel, were these little gems good. So quick and easy to make with amazing results. These hush puppies were the bomb, perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
