Goes down like a dream! Expect sweet but potent. Grenadine not necessary for us.

We loved this drink. It is definitely one of our favorites now. I rated it 10/10. Nice and tropical and sweet! Love this one, thanks for the recipe!

Really fruity and STRONG!!! LOL I prepared as written using freshly squeezed OJ and canned pineapple juice. When I tasted it, it was really strong for me, so I doubled up on the juices... but I am a true lightweight when it comes to alcohol! I loved it once I added a little more juice to it though... My BF suggested adding a little mango nectar next time... sounds good to me! Thanks for posting!!!

I didn't add grenadine in the shaker. But I did float grenadine on top. I shouldn't have. It's too sweet. For my BF I didn't put grenadine and I prefer it this way. Thanks Cookiedog :)

I recall reading somewhere that this was cookiedog's favorite summer of 2007 beverage. So of course, I immediately had to look to see what these incredible ingredients had to be! I whipped up a double batch, just to be on the safe side, and I surely am glad I did! This drink is summertime in a glass! All the flavors I identify with summer breezes, surf & sand, and seagulls singing over head! I did not have any mango rum, so I did substitute light rum and an equal amount of mango nectar as it's replacement. This is sensational, Cookiedog! Thank you!
