A great little fruit and nut bar. These are so much better for you then those from the store. Original recipe called for regular flour I sub whole wheat.

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line an 8x8x2 inch baking pan with aluminum foil. Spray foil with nonstick cooking spray. Set pan aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine oats, flour, grape nuts cereal and ginger. Add egg, applesauce, honey, brown sugar and oil; mix well. Stir in fruit bits, sunflower seeds and walnuts.
  3. Spread mixture evenly in prepared pan. Bake 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Cool on a wire rack. Use edges of foil to lift from pan.
