We use this recipe whenever we have company over. They always love it and it is very helpful to be able to make it ahead of time and know exactly when it will be done.
It was nice to be able to make these the day before and heat them up in the oven in time for my dinner party. They had good flavor and I think next time I might add some shredded cheddar and bacon. Thanks for posting!
Perfect! My brother said that it was the best part of the Thanksgiving meal. I will keep this recipe and use it every Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing.
Best mashed potato recipe ever! Besides the turkey these were the next best thing at the thanksgiving table. Also 5 stars because the making of them the day before, and time saved on the actual thanksgiving day was priceless. I just stuck in the oven for 30 min while the turkey rested. Perfection! The only think about the recipe I do not understand is why boil the pototoes before peeling them? What a huge pain in the butt that was. Next time I will just peel first like I always do. I used a whole 5 pound bag of potatoes, a 9x13 pan, and just increased the ingredients slightly to taste!
Fantastic! I made these the night before Thanksgiving and let sit on the counter for almost an hour before baking. Delicious! I liked how the brushed-on butter baked onto the top of the potatoes, adding a fancy shade of golden brown to them. To be able to serve these hot right before the meal but not have a sink full of dirty dishes from making the potatoes to clean up along with all the other plates and such, makes this recipe totally worth it.
Fantastic! This will be my "go to" recipe for years to come. Thanks for sharing, Kim!
This was wonderful.... thank you for sharing!!
I have been shopping around for years for my go-to holiday mashed potatoes. These are it! LOVE that I made them the day before and they came out beautifully. Just perfect. I omitted the paprika, but even though I almost never follow recipes exactly I followed this one except for that little change. Great flavor and texture!
made this for tomorrow...go glad i dont have to worry about it now..tasted delicious
