Fresh Crabmeat rolls served on hot dog bun with lettuce. A tradtional Maine sandwich!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 8 ounces crabmeat, fresh from Maine
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 hot dog buns
  • 14 head lettuce, shredded

Directions

  1. Combine crabmeat and mayonnaise in medium bowl.
  2. Butter along outside surfaces of hot dog rolls.
  3. Heat medium skillet over high heat.
  4. Place rolls in skillet buttered side down; cook until browned slightly, about 2 minutes per side.
  5. Open rolls and fill with lettuce, then crabmeat mixture.
  6. Serve immediately with chips and a pickle.
