Nothing easier and tastier than a boiled lobster.


  1. Bring the salted water to a boil in a pot large enough to hold the lobsters.
  2. Rinse the lobsters under cold water and quickly slide them into the boiling water.
  3. Cover the pot and simmer gently until the lobsters turn completely red, in about 6 minutes.
  4. Drain in a colander and serve immediately with melted butter or extra-virgin olive oil.

On my senior trip, way back in 1986, we visited friends in Boston for a week. One of the things they treated me to was a drive up the coast to Maine. On the way back we purchased live lobsters for one of the neatest suppers I've ever had. Thanks for the memories!!!
