Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 piece spanish mackerel
  • salt and pepper
  • flour (for dredging)
  • cooking oil
  • 12 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sake
  • 1 teaspoon mirin


  1. Slice the mackerel at an angle. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and dredge in flour.
  2. Heat oil in frying pan. Cook the mackerel briefly on all sides.
  3. Add the other ingredients and cook over high heat until well glazed.
