A snack that is very common here in Gib
- 2 lbs mackerel, deboned, and filleted
- 2 garlic cloves, pounded
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 pinch marjoram
- salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- flour or beaten eggs or breadcrumbs
- place the fish in all the other ingredients and leave to soak overnight.
- Remove fish and let it dry off for about 1 hour.
- roll fish in either flour, beaten egg or breadcrumbs and fry.
