I found this recipe in a Women,s Institute Cookbook. I thought it was different with no mayonnaise and tried it .It was good and a change.
- 1 cup uncooked macaroni
- 1 (213 g) can salmon or 1 (213 g) can shrimp
- 1 1⁄2 cups frozen peas
- onion, to taste
- 1⁄2 cup ketchup
- 1⁄2 cup white sugar
- 1⁄2 cup salad oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Cook macaroni and add salmon, peas that have been cooked, and onion.
- Make a dressing of ketchup, sugar, oil, salt and lemon juice, mix well.
- Then add to macaroni and chill for 2 hours.
