The best macaroni salad I have ever had. I can't go to a picnic without it, or I'm in trouble!
- 2 cups Miracle Whip
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 4 tablespoons sweet relish
- 1 1⁄4 tablespoons milk
- 3 cups cooked macaroni
- 6 -7 hard-boiled eggs
- green olives
- Mix macaroni, eggs, celery, onions and green olives in large mixing bowl.
- Set aside.
- Whip Miracle whip, sugar, mustard, relish, milk and paprika together.
- Pour over macaroni and toss.
- Best when chilled for 3-4 hours before serving.
I've always been a fan of my MIL's macaroni salad, and this one is VERY similar... thank you so much for posting such an easy and yummy recipe! The only change I made was that I omitted the olives - only because I didn't have any on hand, and my salad still turned out great! In fact, it's on the menu for the second time in two weeks! Yep, it's THAT good! :)
This Macaroni Salad looks just like the one my family makes but we don't use Miracle Whip we use Mayo and omit the sugar and relish. It is not sweet at all but it has a very good taste, especially with the green olives. And the texture is awesome...mmmmm.
Thanks for posting the recipe, I can't find mine :)
I used this recipe, with a few revisions, for our 4th of July dinner. I didn't have olives, so I used a veggie peeler to add carrot curls to the salad for color and crunch. I also added some shredded cheddar cheese, chopped broccoli and crumbled bacon. Delicious!
